Astronaut Alan B. Shepard in lunar surface simulation training

Astronaut Alan B. Shepard Jr., commander of the Apollo 14 mission, takes part in a simulation of extravehicular activity at the Kennedy Space Center. Here, Shepard, wearing an Extravehicular Mobility Unit (EMU), is pictured with the Modular Equipment Transporter (MET) during an EVA simulation at the Kennedy Space Center. Camera equipment, Apollo Lunar Hand Tools (ALHT) and other paraphernalia are carried on the MET, which serves as a mobile workbench.
